Agent Feed and Human-AI Collaboration

Exploring Microsoft’s Agent Feed and Human-AI Collaboration
We’re excited to introduce a new set of topics in our Workplace AI Modernisation (WAIM) program—designed to help managers and teams build practical, hands-on AI literacy and capabilities. One of the most exciting additions is Microsoft’s Agent Feed, a feature that’s quietly transforming how businesses interact with AI agents inside Power Platform.
Whether you're a technical lead or a business manager, this new module helps you understand how AI agents operate, how to supervise them, and how to collaborate with them effectively. It’s a real-world look at how AI is becoming a trusted partner in modern workflows—and how your team can be ready for it.
What Is the Agent Feed?
In this new WAIM module, we start by introducing the Agent Feed—a live activity stream built into Model-Driven Apps that shows what AI agents are doing in real time. It’s like a mission control dashboard for AI, giving you a clear view of each agent’s actions, decisions, and outcomes.
Instead of wondering what’s happening behind the scenes, you can see exactly what the agent tried to do, what tools it used, and whether it succeeded or ran into trouble. You’ll also see visual maps of the agent’s logic, including which connectors and knowledge sources were involved.
This kind of transparency is essential for building trust in AI systems, and it’s a great starting point for managers who want to understand how AI fits into their business processes.
Autonomous Agents in Action
Once you’re familiar with the Agent Feed, we dive deeper into autonomous agents—AI-powered entities that can take initiative, perform tasks, and make decisions using tools like Power Automate and Dataverse.
These agents are designed to work independently, but they’re not infallible. Sometimes they hit roadblocks, encounter errors, or need a judgment call that only a human can make. That’s where the Agent Feed becomes especially useful—it gives you a window into the agent’s world and lets you step in when needed.
In WAIM, we help managers understand how these agents operate, how to interpret their behavior, and how to make informed decisions about when to intervene. It’s all about building confidence and capability in working alongside AI.
Suggested Actions and Human-in-the-Loop Collaboration
Another key concept we’ve added to WAIM is Suggested Actions—a feature within the Agent Feed that highlights when an agent needs help. These are prompts generated by the system when something goes wrong or when human input is required.
Suggested Actions show up as part of a “To-do” list in the feed, making it easy for users to respond quickly and keep workflows moving. You don’t need to be technical to understand them—they’re designed to be intuitive and actionable.
This is a great example of human-in-the-loop (HITL) design, where AI supports human decision-making rather than replacing it. In WAIM, we explore how HITL processes work, why they matter, and how they can be used to improve accuracy, compliance, and trust in AI systems.
Agent Supervision: A New Management Skill
One of the most important capabilities we’re now building in WAIM is agent supervision. This is a new kind of management skill—understanding how to oversee AI agents, review their actions, and provide feedback.
The Agent Feed makes this possible by offering full visibility into agent behavior. Managers can approve or reject actions, trace decision paths, and even audit performance over time. It’s a vital part of responsible AI use, and something every modern workplace needs to embrace.
In our program, we help managers develop the confidence to supervise AI effectively, ensuring they’re equipped to lead teams in an increasingly automated environment.
Why These Topics Matter for Your Organisation
These new additions to WAIM aren’t just technical features—they’re practical tools for building smarter, more collaborative workflows. By integrating the Agent Feed, autonomous agents, Suggested Actions, and HITL processes into our program, we’re helping organisations prepare for the future of work.
Whether you're just starting your AI journey or looking to scale your capabilities, WAIM provides the structure, support, and real-world insights to make it happen. These new topics are designed to be accessible, actionable, and immediately relevant to your team’s goals.
