AI changes the work. Lead the response.

We're an Australian advisory firm that takes a single function from where it stands today to an agentic operating model — the diagnostic, the business case, the build-ready design, and the leadership capability to command it. Built on the Microsoft AI stack, for organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

Humans on judgment. Agents on the rest.

FAST - Functional Agentic System Transformation overview

Where we work

Not the organisation. The function.

Most AI strategy is written at organisation altitude — a policy, a platform decision, a maturity score. It reads well and changes little, because work doesn't happen at organisation altitude. It happens in a function: a claims team, a contact centre, an injury team, a lending desk.

That's where we work. One function at a time, starting from what is actually true about it today — legacy or greenfield — and ending in a function where agents carry the work as Digital Labour and the people hold the judgement. Microsoft's 2026 Work Trend Index data supports the shift. The altitude reading is ours.

Atoms

Work whose value depends on being human. High-stakes conversations. Judgement that can't be delegated. Physical presence. Trust and relationships.

Electrons

Work where the value is in the output, not the doer. Information assembly. Triage and routing. Automated reporting. Routine handoffs between systems.

Where it's electrons, digital labour takes them. Where it's atoms, the humans stay — and are elevated.

What we do

One connected sequence, not a menu of services.

FAST — Functional Agentic System Transformation. Four components, in order, each earning the next.

FAIER

Functional AI Exposure Report

Free, about ten minutes. Where the function sits today, and where AI puts it at risk.

FAR

Functional Agentic Roadmap

The business case and the phased sequence — for the CFO, the board and the CIO.

FAB

Functional Agentic Blueprint

The build-ready functional and technical design, on Microsoft Power Platform.

AI Command Foundations

The leadership layer

Runs alongside the rest, so the people who own the function can direct the system, not just receive it.

We work exclusively in workplace AI. Not clinical, not scientific, not visual. The narrowness is deliberate — it is what lets us design at function altitude instead of in general terms.

Where this comes from

Decades of building the systems that work actually runs on.

Long before agentic AI, we were doing systems thinking, automated systems design and — the part that matters — practical implementation. Microsoft and the Power Platform. Nintex, Power Apps, OutSystems. The low-code and no-code platforms that quietly carry a great deal of real organisational work.

That lineage shapes how we approach AI now. Agentic systems are not a category apart from the systems an organisation already trusts; they are the next layer on top of them. We deploy AI inside the systems people already rely on — governed, integrated and answerable — rather than beside them as one more thing to manage separately.

The discipline isn't new. What it's being pointed at is.

In production

The design work ships.

Two of our own systems run in production, in environments where getting it wrong has consequences beyond a missed target.

Production system

Injury Guard AI

Workplace injury management. Agentic case handling with the judgement calls protected and the record kept.

Production system

Safe Havens AI

Safeguarding in regulated environments — built where the cost of a missed signal is measured in harm, not dollars.

Pattern library

The Twenty Agentic Capabilities

The reusable patterns behind both: decisioning, orchestration, assurance and the human gate.

Who's behind this

An Australian advisory firm, founded and led by John Ackery.

We work with commercial organisations, local government and not-for-profits across Australia and New Zealand. The conversation we're built for is the one about moving from individual AI use — a licence here, a pilot there — to structural Digital Labour under governance.

That's a boardroom conversation, not an IT department one. It involves the CFO who has to fund it, the function head accountable for the work, and the board that has to answer for it.
