Appbuilder Training goes 6.0

New content options

Appbuilder Training 6.0 for sharepoint 2010 is ready to go for the upcoming 6.0 release of Dell’s ‘Quick Apps for SharePoint’. This 3 day on site intensive training, enable program covers core web part configurations and all the essential application development options and design patterns to accelerate your time to value for your investment software investment. What’s new in our 6.0 release of Appbuilder training? An introduction to the configuration of the new qDyanmicLayout and qManagement web parts. In depth review of relational data models, deep dive into SQL integration and the design of Store Procedures, Nintex Workflow development and integration and building ‘Parent’ and ‘Child’ relationship with sharepoint and external data. We have been training customers how to use web parts for over 6 years now. During mid 2010 we moved our training online to a cloud based environment. It now includes over 60 worked examples pre built based on many lists and libraries and simulated portal structure of 9 sites. Each of the 60 examples have matched laboratories where you can build out your own versions and explore and extend the concepts. Matched with the environment is over 180 minutes of how to videos for referencing during and after the training. Tutorials covering all the key aspects of application design and development are also included. These training workshops are led by veteran instructors with years of training and consulting experience.

AppBuider Training - Growing support for Nintex Workflows

We have started to extend our training curriculum to support the development and integration of Nintex Workflows as a new module in our AppBuilder training program. Initially we will release Basic Approval processes, Approval Forms built with the qListform , State Machines workflows, Site Workflows and Action Sets. Over time we will expand these worked examples and show case Quest Web Part and Nintex working together.

AppBuilder Training - New Features

We are pleased to announce a range of features designed to show case new application development techniques and design patterns. The first highlights a range of aggregation methods 1) Explicit, 2) List Driven, and 3) Dynamic. We are also extending a range of examples of cross site Design Patterns 1) Centralised data, 2) Distributed data and 3) Process Data. The third feature is an introduction to relational data (Managing ‘One to Many’ relationships) these concepts use the qListView and qListForm and this example explores the use of Master Data, Dependent Lists, Bulk updates, Column Level Security.

AppBuilder Supports QWP 5.7

Our AppBuilder Training environment has been updated to cover the new features in QWP 5.7. We now offer a range of new 'worked examples' and 'exercises' that cover Form Layout Options, Form Field Validation, Managed Meta Data in the qListView and qListForm, External Data (SQL and or SAP) in sharepoint forms, aggregating picture libraries and video assets using the new qMediaViewer web part etc. These enhancements specifically address the new features in QWP 5.7.
