Recovery Manager for SharePoint
Put the Power of sharepoint Backup and Recovery in Your Hands
Much of the content stored in sharepoint is critically important to your organization and needs protection. You must be able to quickly restore that content, or even the entire sharepoint service, in case of accidental deletion, corruption or full farm failure.
Recovery Manager for sharepoint uses existing backup infrastructures to enable rapid, scalable sharepoint content restores and full farm recovery. Recovery Manager also schedules and performs backups, even full farm backups, as well as provides granular search and detailed previews. You can be sure that your critical business information will be preserved, whether you lost one file or an entire farm. Recoveries will be fast and simple saving you time and money.
Farm Backup and Recovery
Recovery Manager provides a simple guided approach to farm backup and restore; you can configure and schedule backups of multiple sharepoint farms. The same backup can be used for the full farm restore as well as for granular content recovery.
Before starting the restore, Recovery Manager checks all prerequisites. If anything is missing, Recovery Manager will tell you how to continue. It then orchestrates the restore across all sharepoint and SQL servers, including content, configurations, services and their settings, customization solutions, and more.
If you’re using Quest LiteSpeed for SQL Server or SQL native backups, Recovery Manager accelerates the backup and recovery process with rapid analysis and low disk space requirements.
Recover Content Granularly
Recovery Manager granularly restores all content in the database backup. Individual documents, lists, libraries, sites, workspaces all can be restored separately. Recovery Manager restores all information stored in the backups of SQL databases, including alerts, permissions, metadata and custom views.
Recovery Manager enables you to quickly browse backup and recycle bin content and retrieve only the documents you need, even when the original sharepoint site is no longer available. You can retrieve data from your backup file during the restore, enabling you to get business-critical data back online before the process is completed.
