Create new Document feature
Create new document directly from within SharePoint QWP 5.0.1 - This is a great new feature that allows users to quickly create new document and assign meta data directly from with the SharePoint interface. 'Create new document, select a template, assign complex cross site master data
This feature has many configuration options and leverages the core capabilites of the 'List View' and 'List Form' webparts. Some of the configuration features include .....
- template selection from a local or centralised document library store
- assignment of local or centralised common meta data
- direct attach to Nintex workflows
- access to customer actions and 'copy' and 'move' features
- leverage auto filling of data from sessions and or the url string
- leverage list filtering, list dependencies etc
- configuration via code-less interface
Step1 the user slects 'New Document' from the List Form grid view

Step2 select a template from a template library [standardised template stores can be used across sites, site collections and web apps to ensure consistency in all libraries]

Step 3 design custom meta data fields and assign meta data from a single central store

Step 4 'save' and create the new document off the selected template

Step 5 Document opens with assigned meta data in document properties

Step 6 returns to the List View for all documents
